What is the maximum number of people allowed in the villa? How far away are the main attractions? Does the pool back on to other properties/walls etc.? How do we locate/enter the property? What is the maximum number of people allowed in the villa? The villa holds a maximum of 8 people in 4 bedrooms, plus a baby in the cot/crib which is available upon request. For the comfort and safety of all guests, smoking is strictly prohibited within the villa, which is fitted with smoke detectors. No pets are allowed. How far away are the main attractions? The villa is situated in one of the nearest residential communities to Walt Disney World, which is only about 3 miles away (10 minutes drive). Sea World and Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure are 20 minutes drive away Does the pool back on to other properties/walls etc.? Unlike some villas which back on to other properties or walls, the villa has wonderful views over a lake. How do we locate/enter the property? Directions and keypad entry codes will be sent to you 2 weeks before arrival. Will we have to bring bed linen/towels etc.? The villa is fully equipped for all your likely holiday requirements. Bed linen and towels are provided. A small initial supply of washing powder/dish washer powder/toilet rolls etc. are provided which you will need to top-up as required. The pool and spa can be heated (by prior agreement) for an additional cost as indicated on the prices page, however this is only really required in order to make the most of the pool during the cooler winter months (October to May). The pool is heated to the maximum temperature allowed under Florida law (85°). Are there any supermarkets or stores nearby? The villa is minutes from a 24 hour supermarket, and there are a wide variety of stores on Highway 192. Can we use the BBQ inside the pool screen? No. It is a fire hazard, and illegal to do so. Not only could you be fined, but you could also damage the pool screen itself, for which you would be charged for any repairs. It must be moved outside of the pool screen before it is used. Are there any restaurants nearby? There are a wide range and variety of restaurants within 5 minute drive, from Italian to Chinese and American. These include including the following popular chains: Outback Steakhouse, McDonalds, Chic Filet, Taco Bell, Red Lobster, TGI Friday and Denny’s. Many of whom will deliver. What services are provided in the villa? The house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and the pool & garden are tended to on a weekly basis. Whilst staying at the villa, who do we contact for questions or emergencies? The villa is professionally managed by our experienced local Management Company, who are available for emergencies 24 hours a day. Do we pay extra for any of the equipment in the villa? No, everything (with the exception of telephone calls) is included in the rental cost of the villa. Is there a telephone at the villa? There are telephones located in the kitchen and master bedroom. Please note that credit card activation is required, and this is explained in the information pack at the villa. Do you accept credit card payments? At present we are only able to accept payments by cheque. Where can I get attraction and park tickets? Apart from the attractions and parks themselves, there are many places to purchase tickets whilst in Florida, including our own Management Company, details of which can be found in the welcome pack in the villa. If however, you’d rather purchase tickets in advance of your holiday, we personally recommend http://www.park-tickets.com?villa=1735, for both an excellent choice and great value. Beware the discount ticket booths, these are generally timeshare salespeople and whilst they may eventually provide you with cheap tickets, you will first need to spend several hours of your valuable vacation looking at property details. Don't do it. Can you recommend a Car Hire company? For excellent choice and good value car rentals, we personally recommend http://www.uscarhire.co.uk?villa=1735, who can supply cars from either Dollar or Alamo, at all Florida Airports (non-US residents only). Initially, you should first contact us with the dates that you require. Once we have confirmed the availability of these dates and the cost, we will provisional book it, and ask you to read and agree to, our standard Terms and Conditions, and to download and complete a booking form (in Adobe Acrobat format), and then return it signed, together with your deposit cheque, to the address specified. A provisional booking will be held for seven days pending receipt of a completed booking form together with full deposit or full payment, as appropriate. The balance (plus the refundable security deposit) is payable 8 weeks before your arrival at the villa. If you book less than 8 weeks before your trip, then the full amount is payable immediately upon booking. Arrival information will then be sent to you 2 weeks before your arrival at the villa. Rental rates are generally fixed, we do however occasionally offer discounted late availability specials on our web site, so please periodically check these. I don't like insects or bugs, will I be bothered by them? Florida has a subtropical climate, as such insects and bugs are a natural occurrence. At the villa, pest control is professionally managed and the desk and pool is screened so while you will still get a good sun tan, weather permitting, the bugs won't be able to get at you. This also means that you can sit out in the evenings without being bothered by mosquitoes How much is a Taxi to/from Disney’s Pleasure Island? A Taxi journey is typically $20-25 plus tip. The number of a local taxi company is listed in the Villa and it may be advisable to pre-book a return trip with them at an agreed time. Alternatively, there is a taxi rank near the main entrance/exit to Pleasure Island. There is no direct Internet access from the Villa itself, although once the telephone has been activated, a local dial-up ISP could be used. Alternatively, there is free Internet access (limited to 30 minutes per day), at the local Public Library (opening hours may vary), which can be found next to the Publix Supermarket, at the western most end of US-192, on the right hand side just before you get to the junction with the US-27.
